Smith Brothers director selected for ISEA grid working group
Following on from last month’s news about our Irish Solar Energy Association membership, we’re delighted to announce that our commercial director Dave Ogden has been specifically chosen by the association to join a new collective of industry professionals.
The ISEA’s ‘Grid Working Group’ consists of twelve members and Dave’s participation will involve fortnightly conference calls with fellow associates to discuss matters within the Irish renewables market.
As one of only two framework providers in the group – and the only one from the UK – this is certainly an exciting opportunity to contribute a fresh perspective to renewables discussions. And Dave will be in excellent company, joining a number of key solar developers from Ireland in the assembly.
Having initially been introduced to the association by David Maguire of BNRG Renewables, we’re excited to be on board with this new venture and look forward to playing a part in Ireland’s solar future.
Commenting on his selection, Dave said: “It’s brilliant to have been invited to join this working group alongside so many renowned figures in the Irish renewables arena. Over the past few years, Smith Brothers has really built its reputation as the UK’s go-to connections provider and we’re hoping to do the same over here too.
“The bi-weekly calls will be a great way of not only contributing to the wider discussions surrounding solar developments in Ireland, but also building some good relationships with others in the industry.”
The ISEA is all about collaborating to make policies that work for everyone and drive the renewables agenda forwards, so we’re understandably thrilled to be on board!
