We’re delighted to have recently hit the headlines again, this time in Renewable Energy Magazine’s 2017-2018 edition!
The annual publication is a leading source of news and insights from the energy industry in Ireland, so it’s brilliant to be featured alongside other leading organisations in the sector.
Following on from last month’s news about our Irish Solar Energy Association membership, we’re delighted to announce that our commercial director Dave Ogden has been specifically chosen by the association to join a new collective of industry professionals.
In 2009 the Renewable Energy Directive was set in Ireland, which dictated that 16% of the country’s energy needs should be fulfilled by renewable energy sources by 2020. We’re delighted to announce that as we expand our operations into Ireland, we’ve become a member of the Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA).
Within the energy industry, there are certain patterns that can be easily spotted. The rise of the renewables market and focus on sustainability is one broad example of this, and it could be argued that the recent attention on battery storage has arisen from this wider trend.
After being pushed back from the original date of November, the second annual Solar PV Ireland will now be taking place on 13-14 March 2018, and Smith Brothers is delighted to announce its collaboration with the event.
